Lots Of Exciting New Camera Gear!- March 2011

I really should update this page more often! The new gear includes a Sony Z7U with standard AND wide-angle lenses and the ability to record HD to tape AND memory card simultaniously. A Canon 7D was added to the 5D kit to enable 60fps recording and HD monitoring while the camera rolls (thanks for that Canon). Last, but certainly not least, is the Panasonic AF-100. The breakthrough micro 4/3 imager set in a production appropriate body gives a provides a nice option in the shallow DOP game... deeper than the 7D with a crop factor of 1.3x, but much more shallow than a 1/3", 1/2", or 2/3" imager. It's rated at 400ISO, and with the help of a adapters, can use any of the Canon or Nikon lenses that I (or you) have to offer. Super sweet. Transvideo Wireless Video is also available for reality style production.

Canon 5D and Accessories Added to the Inventory! - May 2010

April showers brought a new camera this year. New to the inventory is a Canon 5D, with 3 f2.8 Zoom lenses, Rods, Follow focus, Z-finder, and a Marshall HD monitor. A 16GB card holds about 43 minutes of footage at 1080p and downloads in 27 minutes. A Zoom H4 audio recorder has two XLR inputs and serves the 5D with audio through a 1/8" stereo jack.

Fresh New Wheels - January 2010

No more cramming all that gear in your car or mine. January brings a new production vehicle that's just waiting to be filled to capacity for the next big shoot. The 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan boasts a 4' x 8' x 3.5' cargo area with shelving for large cases and grip equipment... it'll even hold 8' sticks of track.

New Formats - Otober 2009

So, it's taken long enough, but I've finally added an additional video format to the offering. A Sony V1U HDV kit has been added to the inventory, but not before carefull testing and comparison of Imagers, film-look controls, and post work-flow. Let me know if you'd like to see my findings.
